Simchat Torah means "Rejoicing with the Torah". This holiday celebrates and marks the conclusion of the yearly cycle of the weekly Shabbat Torah readings and the beginning of the new Torah cycle. It is traditionally observed with great joy, singing and dancing. It is a one day holiday immediately following Sukkot.
